The following filters are available :
Filter Explanation
Include all files whose name contains All files whose name contains the specified string are automatically
included (for example files of the type *.doc, *.xls, etc.).
Exclude all files whose name contains All files whose name contains the specified string are automatically
excluded.
Wildcard file specifies a file whose name may change with time (like a data-
base dump). Use the character ’ ?’ for any character that might
change (e.g. : c :/export_db_16_04_2016.bak becomes c :/ex-
port_db_ ??_ ? ?_ ? ? ? ?.bak). You must specify the full path to the
file so that it is saved by the
Beemo appliance. If multiple files cor-
respond to the wildcard, only the most recent will be included.
Use a pre-existing selection template Use a predefined template that will enable you to include or exclude
a predeter mined selection of folders and files from the backup.
NOTE : Each file corresponding to the specified wildcard is considered to be a version of
the file. For example, if we use this option to save the daily export from a database (file with
for example a name of the type db_ ? ?_ ? ?_ ? ? ? ?.sql where the variables represent the
date of the export), Data Safe Restore will consider each backup as being a version of the
same file to which data conservation rules are applied. Thus, only keeping 3 versions of
our wilcard file will mean keeping the last three exports backed up by Data Safe Restore.
The Data Safe Restore solution comes with 4 default templates to exclude temporary and cache folders, audio, image
or video data.

fil.sys, .DS_Store*, Thumbs.db, /private/var/vm, *.tmp, etc.
