HOLLOW PLUGS AND SEALS
Hydraulic lines are secured to cylinders and
manifolds using hollow plugs and washers with
rubber seals.
The seal washers should be used only once. If
the hydraulic system needs to be opened, the
seal washers should be replaced.
Hollow plugs and seal washers come in 2
diameters: 10mm and 8mm. The kidney and
slide cylinder fittings use 8mm plugs and seals.
All other hydraulic fittings use 10mm hollow
plugs and seals.
Hollow plugs also come in 2 lengths: single
length and double length. The double length
10mm plug is used where two lines must
connect at the same port, such as at the foot lock
manifold. The double length 8mm hollow plug
is used only when filling the kidney cylinders
because they are connected in series.
