The power supply does not contain any field
serviceable parts. It must be replaced as a unit.
The transformer and batteries also must be
replaced as units

Batteries
Figure 5-10 Batteries
Two 12V, 28Amp-hour sealed lead acid
batteries provide the main power source for the
table. The batteries are wired in series to
provide 24V of power to the DC circuits.
The batteries automatically take over as the
power source when AC is not connected.
Charging is automatic any time the AC mains
power supply is connected to the table. The
batteries cannot be overcharged: a software
monitor in the charging system automatically
disconnects the charging system when the
batteries are fully charged or after a continuous
8 hours of charging.
Batteries have an expected service life of three
years. They are field replaceable.
Battery Replacement
Do this to replace the batteries:
WARNING
WARNING – Even a “dead” battery
can contain enough power to cause a
serious shock or explosive spark.
Always disconnect the battery
charger plug at the power center
before disconnecting cables.
WARNING
WARNING – the batteries contain
acid, which can cause serious burns.
While the batteries are sealed, a
dead battery may be damaged and
may leak. Always handle batteries in
a way that will prevent acid spilling
on your skin or clothes.
1. Disconnect the table from the AC Mains
power source, if necessary.
2. Turn the DC power switch to the OFF
position.
3. Remove the base covers.
4. Disconnect the battery charger connector
from the power supply
5. Disconnect the cable from the positive
terminal of the one battery
