OPERON D 850 SURGICAL TABLE
SERVICE
700000120 Rev. 1
5-3
The kidney switch is mounted on a bracket on
the left side of the table (opposite the leg and
back sensors).
The kidney switch provides a signal to the CPU
to determine the position of the kidney elevator.
A signal of 2.5 volts indicates that the kidney
elevator is up. A signal of 4.5 volts indicates
that it is down.
Trend/Tilt Sensor
Figure 5-6 Trend/Tilt Sensor (viewed
from under table)
The Tilt /Trendelenburg sensor is two standard
automotive accelerometers which have been
combined into one housing. It is excited with 5
volts, and has an output of between 0.200 –4.9
volts. The nominal voltage at level is 2.5 volts.
Leg and Back Angle Sensors
The Leg and Back Angle sensors are standard
automotive accelerometers. They are excited
with 5 volts, and has an output of between
0.200 –4.9 volts. The nominal voltage at level
is 2.5 volts.
Figure 5-7 Leg & Back Section Proximity
Sensors
The leg and back sections are equipped with
Hall Effect sensor elements, which allow the
software to detect whether the individual
section is present.
Power Supply System
The power supply system is made up of 3
main components:
The isolation transformer
The power supply/charger assembly
The batteries
The isolation transformer takes 120VAC and
provides 120VAC to the power supply. Its
purpose is to reduce leakage current.
Figure 5-8 Power Supply System
The power supply/charger assembly will
provide power to the table if the batteries are
damaged or disconnected. It will charge the
batteries to 90% within 8 hours.
