Interfaces
RS 232.
A commercial zero modem cable is used to transfer data via the
RS 232. The following data can be transmitted via this interface:
- Parameter List
Via command parameter printout in the General Data menu.
- Minute prints
- Shifts
- Batch printout
Via digital 2, provided it has been set to Start/Stop + Print.
Data can be output, depending on the setting, via the following
devices:
o PC
Data output to PC.
o Printer
Data output to printer.
RS 485
The RS 485 can output the same data as the RS 323. In addition,
further detector systems can be connected via this interface.
o PC
Only for data output to PC.
o Printer
Only for data output to printer.
o Slave
Only for further detector systems.
One slave evaluation unit is needed, feeding the additional detec-
tor. The count rates from the slave and possible error messages
are send to the master via the RS 485. The further processing is
carried out by the master.
Number of detectors
Enter the number of all detectors in this measuring system.
Slave 1
(Only if Number of detectors
> 1)
Address for slave 1. We recommend to keep standard address 1.
Further addresses have to be used only when more than 1 slave is
connected. Accordingly, you have to enter the same address in the
slave evaluation unit.
