HUD Navigation Performance Indications
The following information is primarily intended to show differences between the
HUD and PFD.
For additional informationon on NPS and IAN, refer to:

, Ch. 10, Sec. 10
Indicates the selected approach path relative to the airplane position:
• unfilled diamond for LOC or G/S when not captured
• unfilled triangle for FAC or G/P when not captured
• filled diamond when LOC or G/S is captured (engaged FMA)
• filled triangle when FAC or G/P is captured (engaged FMA)
Indicates the selected lateral or vertical path relative to the airplane position:
• unfilled symbol when parked at deflection limit
• filled when not parked at deflection limit
• displayed on lateral deviation scale whenever the scale is displayed
