7.5.6.3 Changing the battery
NOTICE
Damage to equipment due to incorrect storage!
Incorrect storage of the battery can damage the battery.
4 Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight without protection.
4 Store the battery in a frost-free location.
NOTICE
Environmental damage due to improper disposal!
Incorrect disposal of used batteries can cause considerable
environmental damage.
4 Dispose of used batteries only in accordance with applicable laws.
Personal protective
equipment
Wear the following personal protective equipment when changing the
battery:
– Acid-resistant protective gloves
– Safety goggles
Tools
The following tools are required for changing the battery:
– Screwdriver
– Spanner
Requirement
Before changing the battery, make sure that
– the machine is switched off at the battery disconnector.
Removing the battery
To remove the battery:
a) Loosen and remove all screw connections on the toolbox.
b) Remove the battery disconnector (loosen the screw inside the toolbox).
c) Remove the toolbox.
