36 SECTION 21 - TRANSMISSION
Remove the 3rd/4th shift fork screw.
NOTE: before attempting to remove the 3rd/4th shift
rail, replace the detent plug as the ball and spring
may shoot out and cause injury.
Turn the 3rd/4th shift rod through 90° and withdraw
from the housing.
Remove the detent plug, the inner detent ball and
the spring.
Remove the counter shaft assembly.
