Installing a BBU in the Router
Online Insertion and Removal
BBU Online Insertion and Removal (OIR) is not supported by the Cisco CG-OS or Cisco IOS operating
systems.
For routers using the Cisco CG-OS operating system, the workaround is to execute the battery disable
command at the CLI and then perform the insertion or removal. There is no workaround for Cisco IOS.
