Chapter 5 Mounting the Router
Mounting Instructions
Install the Optional Security Panel
The Cisco includes an optional security panel. For more information, see the “Mounting Bracket Kit”
section on page 5-4. The security panel prevents unauthorized users from removing the router from the
mounting bracket, and also prevents unauthorized access to the SD Card Slot (see the “SD Card Slot
Access for Bracket-Mounted Routers” section on page 5-25).
What You Need
• Security panel and the hardware (three 8-32 PNH screws) included in the mounting bracket kit.
• Phillips screwdriver

Item Description
1 Insert the security panel tabs into the corresponding notches on the mounting bracket.
2 Secure the security panel to the bracket at these locations, using the screws included in
the mounting bracket kit. For more information, see the “Mounting Bracket Kit” section
on page 5-4.
3 Insert the captive screw located in the router door lock block through this hole when
closing the router door.
