Displaying 802.1x Statistics and Status
Resetting the 802.1x Authentication Configuration to the Default Values
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to reset the 802.1x authentication configuration
to the default values. This procedure is optional.
Displaying 802.1x Statistics and Status
To display 802.1x statistics for all ports, use the show dot1x all statistics privileged EXEC command.
To display 802.1x statistics for a specific port, use the show dot1x statistics interface interface-id
privileged EXEC command.
To display the 802.1x administrative and operational status for the switch, use the show dot1x all
[details | statistics | summary] privileged EXEC command. To display the 802.1x administrative and
operational status for a specific port, use the show dot1x interface interface-id privileged EXEC
command.
Beginning with Cisco IOS Release 12.2(55)SE, you can use the no dot1x logging verbose global
configuration command to filter verbose 802.1x authentication messages. See the Authentication
Manager CLI Commands” section on page 10-9.

Command Purpose
Step 1
configure terminal Enter global configuration mode.
Step 2
interface interface-id Enter interface configuration mode, and specify the port to be configured.
Step 3
dot1x default Reset the 802.1x parameters to the default values.
Step 4
end Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 5
show authentication interface
interface-id
Verify your entries.
Step 6
copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
