Cutting unit
(ROLLANT 250/254/255 RC)
The cutting unit is fitted with 14 knives (M), each of
which is individually protected from damage caused by
foreign objects.
If foreign objects, such as stones, hardwood, etc. are
encountered, the springs (F) allow the knives to
deflect.
The knives return to their original positions once the
foreign object has been passed.

Blanking knives
Knives which have been removed must be replaced by
blanking knives to prevent the crop from being forced
through the knife slots. When harvesting on very stony
ground, for example, we recommend replacing half the
knives with blanking knives.
If the cutting blades are not to be used for a longer
period of time, they should be replaced by dummy
blades in order to avoid unnecessary wear of the
cutting edges.
