CLAAS COMMUNICATOR - operation
Checking the position of the cutting unit
Standard machines:
Up to machine serial no. 74801818 except 74801794
up to 74801803 and up to machine serial no.
75400035.
The machine is programmed to activate the cutting
unit at regular intervals (only if the function »activate
cutting unit« has been selected).
Cutting unit active
From machine serial no. 74801819 and 754000036
and machine serial no. 74801794 up to 74801803.
These machines are equipped with a sensor on the
cutting unit.
The sensor checks the position of the cutting unit at
regular intervals. If the cutting unit is no longer in the
correct position, i.e. if the blades are not disengaged
far enough to make a correct cut, the machine
automatically swivels the blades to cutting position.
Cutting unit deactivated
From machine serial no. 74801819 and 754000036
and machine serial no. 74801794 up to 74801803.
These machines are equipped with a sensor on the
cutting unit.
The sensor checks the position of the cutting unit at
regular intervals. If the cutting unit is no longer in the
correct position, i.e. if the blades are disengaged
slightly, the machine automatically swivels the blades
to resting position.
