2. Remove the side cover.
3. Remove the air shroud.
NOTE: For systems with 500W/1000W PSU only.

Remove the 125 W heat-sink assembly or 65 W heat-sink assembly.
NOTE: VR heat sinks are only required for systems with an 8 core 65W CPU, a 6 core 125W CPU or an 8 core 125W CPU.

Steps
1. Loosen the four captive screws that secure the VR heat sinks to the system board.
2. Lift the VR heat sink off the system board.

Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
NOTE: VR heat sinks are only required for systems with an 8 core 65W CPU, a 6 core 125W CPU or an 8 core 125W CPU.
