Conguring Transmit and Receive Mode
After you enable LLDP, the system transmits and receives LLDPDUs by default.
To congure the system to transmit or receive only and return to the default, use the following commands.
• Transmit only.
CONFIGURATION mode or INTERFACE mode
mode tx
• Receive only.
CONFIGURATION mode or INTERFACE mode
mode rx
• Return to the default setting.
CONFIGURATION mode or INTERFACE mode

Conguring the Time to Live Value
The information received from a neighbor expires after a specic amount of time (measured in seconds) called a time to live (TTL).
The TTL is the product of the LLDPDU transmit interval (hello) and an integer called a multiplier. The default multiplier is 4, which results in
a default TTL of 120 seconds.
