10.5 15 RULES FOR OPTIMAL CUT
1. Chose the type of machine and accessories ( the way of cutting must be evident and all designs and
the quality of material must be clear)
2. the quality of the blade M42, M51 is directly proportional to the hardness of the material to be cut.
3. the tooth size of the blade ( or the tooth geometry ) depends on the width of the material.
4. the speed of the blade ( fpm) is directly proportional to material qualities.
5. cutting speed is directly proportional to the width of the chip and preference of cutting style – with
respect to max. performance,optimalized blade life, ideal roughness of the cut
6. quality of coolant ( sufficient amount of the oil in the water ) and sufficient amount of coolant running
into the cut.
7. the precision of the leading of the blade in guides – the demand for the minimal clearance of guides
and blade ( 0,002in)
8. optimal tightening of the blade
9. the right clamping of the material – the material must not vibrate or move in the cut
10. the right mechanical adjustment of the machine ( leading of the arm, device of pulleys, fluent
movement of the arm
11. ideal flatness of the roller conveyor and the machine
12. The good cleaning of the chips from blade teeth – cleaning brush
13. the right constructional qualities of the machine ( diameters of pulleys and the length of the blade
torsion) , machine robustness ( must not appear any vibration)
14. running in of the blade must be well done
15. Human factor is also very important. The operator is responsible for the quality of work.
