12.5 SPEED OF ARM MOVEMENT WHEN CUTTING
The shape and color of the metal chips removed from the bandsaw helps you with the setting of the right
speed of arm movement when cutting :
A

a) thin or broken chips - increase the speed of feed or reduce the speed of a blade
b) - thick or blue chips - reduce the feed ,check coolant
- too spinny chips - full gaps between teeth, use saw-blade with bigger teeth, reduce
feed or increase saw-blade speed
c) spiral chips - well set parameters
Notice : Too high speed of arm when cutting causes trembling of machine and its bigger noise.
