Air
cleaner
element - Inspection
Check the air cleaner element carefully. If there is even the
smallest hole in the element, the element must be replaced.
Clean
or replace the element
as
necessary.
Caution:
All air entering the engine Intake must be ^\
filtered. The
abrasive
particles In un-flltered air
will

cause
rapid wear to engine components.
Inspect the filter housing and air intake piping for cracks, loose
clamps, or punctures which would allow un-filtered air to enter
the engine.
Tighten or replace parts as necessary to make sure the air
intake system does not leak.
