Date
Note: The printer’s system clock must be set up to print an accurate
date value. See “Set The System Clock” on page 6-33.
To insert today’s date into the message design:
(1) Place the cursor where the date is required.
(2) Select the Date icon.
(3) Select Date.
(4) Input the date format into the text box:
(5) Select Insert to confirm the date format and return to the Message
Designer.
Date Format Explanation
d or D The day of the month, from 1 to 31.
dd or DD The day of the month, from 01 to 31.
M The month, from 1 to 12.
MM The month, from 01 to 12.
MMM The abbreviated name of the month.
Example: Jan, Feb, Mar etc
YY The year, from 00 to 99.
YYYY The year as a four digit number.
JJJ The date as a 3 digit Julian number.
Example: January 1st = 001
