3. Remove the 19 bolts that fasten the Auxiliary Section
to the Transmission Main Case.
4. Using a pry bar to assist, separate
the Auxiliary Section
from the transmission main case enough to fit the aux-
iliary section hanger (RR1006TR) into place.
Note: If unable
to free Auxiliary section, use the two (2)
longest bolts from the Auxiliary Case housing and
insert them into the housing flange tapped holes.
Tighten bolts evenly to move the Auxiliary Section
away from the front box. Tighten until the gasket seal is
broken.
5. Using an overhead cran
e or hoist, remove the Auxiliary
Section with the auxiliary section hanger.
Note: The weight
of the Auxiliary Section must be sup-
ported during removal to avoid damage to internal
transmiss
ion parts.
