8.3.1 Mechanical components
8.3.1.1 Dirt accumulation (visual check)
• Disconnect the air supply.
• Check the product for dirt (e.g. dust, splinters, oil).
For the maintenance of the mechanical components Specialist personal with the following
knowledge must be used:
Training for working with the following components:
- mechanical components
Instruction and / or reading of the instruction manual, chapter:
03 Fundamental safety instructions, 05 Construction and Operation, 08 Operation, 09 Maintenance
WARNING
— Personnel does not fulfil the requirements
—> Risk of injury to personnel and damage to the product (Machine)
• Only use personnel who fulfil the requirements above.
• Clean the product.
In the case of severe contamination:
ATTENTION
— Wrong cleaning method
—> Damage on the product and tool
• Clean the machine, especially connections and threaded unions, of any traces of oil or
preservatives before carrying out maintenance/repair!
• Never use aggressive detergents!
• Use lint-free cleaning rags!
• Machine/plant may not be cleaned with water or steam jet (high-pressure cleaner)!
• Apply low inflammable cleaning liquid (if needed at all) with extreme care.
• Inspect the product for damage after the cleaning! Let qualified personnel repair any
detected faults!
