8.3.2 Pneumatic components
For the maintenance of the pneumatic components Specialist personal with the following
knowledge must be used:
Training for working with the following components:
- pneumatic components
Instruction and / or reading of the instruction manual, chapter:
03 Fundamental safety instructions, 05 Construction and Operation, 07 Operation,
08 Maintenance
8.3.2.1 Check pneumatic connectors and cables for visible damages
Check that there is no visible damage to pneumatic connectors and cables.
If there is damage to pneumatic connectors and cables :
Disconnect the air supply.
Ensure that operation with the product is not resumed (e.g. using warning signs).
Get the damage repaired immediately by the maintenance service of your company, or
through the customer service department of the machine manufacturer.
8.3.2.2 Check pneumatic switch- and control elements for visible damages
Check that there is no visible damage to pneumatic switch- and control elements.
If there is damage to pneumatic switch- and control elements:
Disconnect the air supply.
Ensure that operation with the product is not resumed (e.g. using warning signs).
Get the damage repaired immediately by the maintenance service of your company, or
through the customer service department of the machine manufacturer.
WARNING
Unintentional starting of the product
—> Risk of injury to personnel and damage to the product
Always turn the air supply before attempting any repairs or service work.
