5.2.5 Carriage parallelism adjustment
Summary
This adjustment is required when the UPPER ANGLE is loosened. The
UPPER ANGLE supports the bearings attached to the carriage as shown
in Figure 5-10, and carriage parallelism is defined by the position of the
UPPER ANGLE.
Tools / materials: APG Gauge Jig
SSGear Block Jig
Objective: 0.39 ± 0.01 mm consistent gap, adjusted and
measured in three places.
