Registering User Settings to Multiple Scanners as a Batch (Epson Device
Admin)
You can register User Settings used in Local DB as a batch by using an LDAP server or a CSV/ENE le.
Note:
An ENE le is a binary le provided by Epson that encrypts and saves information for Contacts such as personal
information and User Settings. It can be exported from Epson Device Admin and you can set a password. It is useful when
you want to import the User Settings from a backup
le.
Importing from CSV / ENE File
1.
Select Administrator Settings > Authentication Settings > User Settings from the
conguration
template.
2.
Click Import.
3.
Select CSV or ENE File from Import Source.
4.
Click Browse.
e le selection screen is displayed.
5.
Select the le you want to import to open it.
6.
Select an import method.
Overwrite and Add: Overwrites if the same user ID exists; adds a new ID if it does not exist.
Replace All: Replaces everything with the user settings you want to import.
7.
Click Import.
e setting conrmation screen is displayed.
8.
Click OK.
e validation result is displayed.
Note:
If the number of imported user settings exceeds the number that can be imported, a message will prompt you to
delete some user settings. Delete any excess user settings before importing.
Select the user settings you want to delete before importing, and then click Delete.
9.
Click Import.
e
user settings are imported into the
conguration
template.
Importing from the LDAP Server
1.
Select Administrator Settings > Authentication Settings > User Settings from the conguration template.
2.
Click Import.
3.
Select LDAP from Import Source.
