The different levels of VDC are distributed to corresponding mechanisms, as
shown in "Table 2-4 DC Output Power":
2.3.2 Size sensor operation
The scanner is equipped with six document size sensors which automatically
determine the size of the document when scanning is carried out, so that only
the actual document area is scanned (no preview operation is necessary).
However, the document sizes that can be recognized in this way are limited to
A3 (landscape), B4 (portrait and landscape), A4 (portrait and landscape) and
B5 (portrait and landscape).
