5.3.10 Initial Ink Charge
There is no ink charged in the ink path of a spare print head and printer
mechanism. Therefore, after you replace any of the following units,
perform initial ink charge and return the printer to the user after making
sure that ink is ejected correctly from the print head.
1. From the Maintenance menu, select “Initial Ink Charge”. The following
screen appears.

2. Click OK in the screen above and the initial ink charge will be performed.

POINT
n Perform this adjustment when the following repair /
service is made.
n Replacing the head
n Replacing the printer mechanism
n Perform the adjustment items described in Table 5-1 in
the appropriate order according to the replaced pats.
n Before performing this sequence, make sure to replace I/C
with a new one.
n By performing this sequence, 1/10 of each I/C will be
consumed.
