1.4.5 Printer Condition and Panel Status
1.4.6 Printer Initialization
There are three kinds of initialization method.
o Power-on initialization
This printer is initialized when turning the printer power on, or printer
recognized the cold-reset command (remote RS command).
When the printer is initialized following action is performed.
n
Initializes printer mechanism.
n
Clears input data buffer.
n
Clears print buffer.
n
Sets default values.
o Operator initialization
This printer is initialized when turning the printer power on again
within 10 seconds from last power off, or printer recognized the -INIT
signal (native pulse) of parallel interface.
When printer is initialized, following action is performed.
n
Cap the printhead.
n
Eject a paper.
n
Clears input data buffer.
n
Clears print buffer.
n
Sets default values.
o Software initialization
The ESC@ command also initializes the printer.
When printer is initialized, following action is performed.
n
Clears print buffer.
n
Sets default values.
