• The test specimen is connected to the power supply via the power
cord.
• The return electrode socket is connected to the VIO test box using the
return electrode adapter cable via the return electrode patient cable.
1. When prompted to do so, select the type of return electrode: e.g. split
return electrode (the type of return electrode selected in this window
only remains set until the next time the system is started. After that,
the test specimen resumes operation using the preferred type of
return electrode as stored).
2. On the VIO, press the <NESSY> button .
The monitoring window for the return electrode is opened that shows
the resistance.
3. Determine and document the measured value. The tolerance range is
10 to 20 ohms.
