Clean and lubricate ball cage.
The ball cage cannot be removed for cleaning
and lubricating. Pull down the element and the
ball cage as far as possible. Use a soft and lint-
free cloth and wipe off the dirty grease outside
of the cage. Turn the element during cleaning.
Afterwards lightly dampen a soft and lint-free
cloth with IPA Isopropyl alcohol (only
fatdissolving liquids) and wipe the ball cage
outside as long as it is clean and free of grease.
Wipe also the shaft.
Afterwards lubricate the ball cage slightly with
Essemtec P&P Head Grease (SP26/HG01) by
means of a brush. Do not apply too much
grease, just a very thin film. Move manually the
the Z-axis up and down to apply evenly the
grease. Wipe off any excess.
If blow-off valves are mounted the re-
attachment depends on the variant of
dismounting:
• Variant 1: screw in and tighten the two valve
fixing screws (2).
• Variant 2: screw in and tighten the three
fixing screws of the head bottom cover (3).
For the corrective maintenance, probably both
variants may be used.
Turn the valve support to its correct position.
Screw in and tighten the two fixing screws (1).
