4.4.1.10. Enabling LTC Polarity Correction
OUTPUT
This menu item selects whether the LTC polarity correction flag will be set
on the LTC output so that there is an even number of 0’s in each 80-bit
word. This prevents the polarity of the LTC waveform from flipping making
observation easier on a waveform monitor.
Set to Parity Off to leave the polarity correction bit as 0.
Set to Parity On to drive the polarity correction bit to maintain parity in the
LTC waveform.

4.4.1.11. Enabling the LTC Output Color Frame Bit
OUTPUT
This menu item allows the user to control whether the color frame flag is
set on the LTC output. When the color frame flag is on, the 5601MSC will
ensure that the timecode is aligned according to SMPTE ST 12-1 to the
applicable video standard. This alignment is performed for 29.97 rates
(dropframe and nondropframe) to NTSC, and 25 FPS rates to PAL.
When set to Color Frame Off, the color frame bit will always be set to 0.
When set to Color Frame On, the color frame bit will be set to 1 to indicate
color frame synchronization and the timecode will be forced to align to its
respective video standard.

4.4.1.12. Selecting the IRIG Output Format
OUTPUT
This menu item selects the IRIG-B output format. It is only applicable if the
IRIG option is installed and the Frame Rate/Irig menu selection has been
set to IRIG.
Refer to section 2.3.5 for information on the different IRIG formats.

4.4.1.13. Setting a Time Offset to the IRIG Output
OUTPUT
This menu item allows the user to add an offset, in seconds, to the IRIG
output. This allows the IRIG timecode to be advanced or delayed from
system time. The range is -59 seconds to +59 seconds.

4.4.2. Configuring the Sync, 10MHZ and Wordclock Outputs
The menu items for the Sync outputs and 10MHz and Wordclock outputs are all the same. For the sake
of simplicity, only the Sync 1 menu will be described in the manual.
