4.1.1 Instructions for commissioning
System structure
Note
Erro rs in the system structure and incorre ctly set para me te rs
can cause the drive to mo ve to an end position uncushioned.
Thi s can damage the drive.
You must observe the following instructions in order to pre
vent such collisions.
The CMAX must be set to certain configuration and
application data. Before applying compressed
air, you
must adapt these settings to your application and to the
axes which you are using.
During the movement test, the CMAX can recognize faulty
drive tubing connections. Therefore, the movement test
should be carried out again when components are ex
changed or the tubing connection has been disconnected
and reconnected.
Ensure that the
maximum permissible load is observed
during operation.
Recommendation:
Place appropriate warning signs on your system.

When commissioning with the Festo Configuration Tool:
· To avoid the influence of I/O signals etc., commission the
positioning system without a bus by removing the bus
cable or switching the CPX−FEC to Stop"!
