Alignment Adjustment Settings
This section describes manual adjustment of the printout image position.
You can adjust the alignment of the images to print on the paper (perpendicularity (rhombic
distortion), skew, scale, and image position), and save 20 types of adjusted values. You can
assign a set type to each tray.
Adjust the position of an output image when it is misaligned as a result of conditions such
as paper expansion or contraction, cutting accuracy, or paper storage.
Adjust the position of the output images with the alignment adjustment settings.
Alignment Adjustment
You can adjust the position of output images on the machine as follows:
Perpendicularity (Rhombic Distortion) Adjustment
Adjust the distortion of an image.
Skew Adjustment
Adjust a skewed image.
Scale Adjustment
Adjust this when the size (scale) of the output image is out of alignment.
Print Position Adjustment
Adjust the position of the image in the paper feed direction (X direction) and in the vertical
direction in relation to the paper feed direction (Y direction). Adjust this, for example, when
the images on sides 1 and 2 are misaligned.
When adjusting multiple types of misalignments, adjust them in the following order:
Perpendicularity Adjustment > Skew Adjustment > Scale Adjustment > Print Position
Adjustment
An outline of the procedure for alignment adjustment is declared below:
1) Load paper in a tray.
2) Print a sample printout and check for any misalignment of the output image.
3) If the output image is misaligned, adjust the position.
