3 Slide the feed mode switch to the left to switch the feed mode to Manual Single Mode.
On the top of the touch screen, [Manual Single Mode] is displayed.
4 Scan documents with the image scanning application.

ATTENTION
● Moving the feed mode switch during a scan causes an error.
● If the feed mode switch is in Manual Single Mode, overlapped documents cannot be detected by the
ultrasonic sensor.
HINT
The scanner will wait for the next document to be loaded until the time specified for [Timeout seconds] in
the [Manual Feeding] screen on the touch screen, even if there is no document in the ADF paper chute
(feeder).
