4) Setting a fixed IP address for the handset
This method sets a Static IP address on the Handset side and does not use the DHCP
server for the communication unit.
4.1) Upon the Handset, select; Settings -> Network -> Administrator’s password:
01234567 -> Manual.
4.2) Open IP obtain -> Static IP, and set the IP address.
- IP address : The IP addresses within the range of 192.168.1.2 to
192.168.1.9 are appropriate.
- Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 -> Own IP address
4.3) Select DNS, open Static, and enter the IP address for the DNS server.
The IP address for DNS server is the “Own IP address”, which is 192.168.1.1.
4.4) Reboot the Handset, open Info -> TCP/IP, and confirm that the IP address is set in
the Handset.
Note) Since the DHCP server will be allocating the IP
addresses within the range of 192.168.1.10 to
192.168.254, the IP addresses within the range of
192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.9 would be appropriate.
