a. The RS-485 link is not electrically isolated. The Hydran M2-X’s from a single network thus share the
same ground reference (common).
b. The shield at this terminal is internally connected to ground through a spark gap and capacitor. The
other end of the cable must be connected to the In terminal of the next Hydran M2-X or to the Hydran
201Ci Controller.
c. This terminal is internally connected directly to ground.
d. The total length of all RS-485 link cables in a single network must not exceed 1,200 m (4,000 ft).
