When UDP is used:
• If the log server is reachable, then the log messages are sent to the server “on-
the-fly”; in other words, messages are not buffered and sent in batch to the
server.
When TCP or TCP/TLS is used:
• If the log server is unavailable, the log messages are temporarily buffered and
they are sent to the server upon service reestablishment.
