8.1.8 Remote Logs
Reason H49 supports logging to a remote Syslog server. Refer to the Security
Settings section for more details
At any time, the security administrator can enable/disable logging to a central syslog
server.
Syslog implementation supports UDP, TCP and TCP over TLS.
If the log server is reachable, then the log messages are sent to the server “on-
the-fly”; in other words, messages are not buffered and sent in batch to the
server.
If the log server is unavailable, the log messages are temporarily buffered and
they are sent to the server upon service reestablishment.
Moreover, the bandwidth used for accessing the log server has been configured in
order to avoid flooding the network.
