3.7.1 Verification of stability
Stability must be verified for each usage site.
Verification consists of:
x proving the load capacity of the roof structure. (Consult construction
experts if necessary.)
x using the necessary number of counterweights and securing them
with a lock to prevent unauthorised removal.
x checking the outrigger for damage prior to use.
x checking the outrigger after mounting.
x correct mounting of the outrigger.
x correct bracing of the outrigger using the guy rope (only for DA 6).
x horizontal assembly of the outrigger (maximum inclination of 3°). If
the inclination is greater, the outrigger must be supported using
suitable equipment.
x securing the outrigger to prevent rolling. Secure using wheel brake or
other suitable means.
