5.1.3 Aligning and securing the outrigger
¾ Align the outriggers horizontally with each other (tape measure, etc.).
Working platform with side-suspension of the winches:
Spacing outrigger = platform width
Working platform with C-clamp suspension of the winches:
Spacing outrigger = platform width – 1 m or 2 m (double the
distance between the C-clamp and side wall).
¾ Align outrigger vertically (max. inclination of 3°).
If necessary, support with suitable means.
¾ Close the parking brake of the rollers.

If necessary, provide measures to prevent
unwanted movements of the outrigger (e.g.
U-rail, etc.)

If the PPE is fastened to the outrigger, the
outrigger must be ballasted beforehand
with the counterweights according to the
weight of the individual.
