9.3 Rescuing persons from the working platform
Rescue may become necessary in the event that, e.g.
x There is no mains voltage.
x The electrical system malfunctions.
x The drive fails.
x the rope stop has been triggered.
9.3.1 Basic conduct in the event of a rescue/malfunction
x Remain calm and do not act hastily.
x Get an overview of the situation.
x Keep unauthorised persons away.
x Contact any persons trapped in the car.
x Try to find out what has caused the malfunction/defect in the system.
x As necessary, inform persons trapped about the planned procedure.
x Inform your supervisor about the malfunction.
x Inform any rescue services.
WARNING
If the employee of the operating company does not feel confident or
qualified to organise and carry out the rescue, the relevant authorities
(rescue personnel) must be notified.
