5.8 Check after assembly and before each operation
x Check to ensure that
the specified maintenance work and inspection procedures have
been carried out.
the wire rope indicates no damage.
Notices are present and legible (refer to Chapter 11)
Checks with control
x Carry out a test run without load and check to ensure that
the motor’s rotational direction agrees with the UP and DOWN
buttons of the control locations and that the EMERGENCY STOP
button interrupts travel.
the wire rope correctly winds onto the rope winding (if so equipped).
x Carry out a test run with load (refer to the load capacity).
(Distribute the load evenly over the platform surface.)
¾ Move the working platform up and down, where traversing of at least
1 m is required.
The test is considered passed if it does not cause any failure or visible
damage of the structure.
Check
whether the motor brake functions correctly.
the outriggers are anchored securely.
the counterweights are adequate and secured with a lock.
