1. Always use extension cords with the appropriate ratings for the country in which it is used. In
North
America this is a UL rating. The cords must also be rated for the conditions in which they are used,
such as being rated for protection from oil in a garage or workshop environment.
2. Use the proper cord wire gauges for the cord length used:
Length:
<25 ft (7.5 m)
<50 ft (15 m)
<100 ft (30 m)
Gauge:
13AWG (2.5mm2)
12AWG (3mm2)
11AWG (4.0mm2)
6.1.6 Battery Operation Range
Range is significantly affected by tire pressure, alignment, terrain and driving style. Always
maintain proper tire pressure as specified on safety labels.
6.2 MAINTENANCE
6.2.1 Batteries
WARNING
Battery posts, terminals and related components contain lead and lead compounds,
chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. Always wash your hands after
touching or handling the batteries.
WARNING
Charging a damaged battery can result in serious injury. Never attempt to charge a frozen
or bulging battery.
WARNING
Improperly connecting or disconnecting battery cables can result in an explosion and
cause serious injury or death.
WARNING
Battery electrolyte is poisonous. It contains sulfuric acid. Serious burns can result from
contact with skin, eyes or clothing.
External: Flush with water.
Internal: To add water and electrolyte into the battery is prohibited.
Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes and get prompt medical attention.
Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame, cigarettes, etc. away. Ventilate when
charging or using in an enclosed space. Always shield eyes when working near batteries. KEEP OUT
OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
