5.1 Introduction

Only perform the tasks described in this chapter after you have read and un-
derstood the chapter "Safety". Ü215

DANGER
Missing, defective, or modified safety equipment
Missing, defective, or modified safety equipment could lead to serious or fatal
injuries!
• Check the safety equipment at regular intervals.
• After working on the product, reattach all safety equipment correctly
• Ensure that the safety equipment function fault-free during operation
• Do not dismantle, bridge, or modify any safety equipment
DANGER
Hazardous voltage
The product contains components that are energized with hazardous volt-
ages. Touching these components will cause an electric shock. Electric shocks
can be fatal!
Before working in the danger area:
• Switch off the superordinate main power supply
• Secure the superordinate power supply against being switched on again
(main switch of complete system)
• Ground the equipment
