Valves Test Valve Occlusion Test
Note: Power on the device in the Utilities mode of operation by pressing and
holding SHAKER while switching the power on. Hold SHAKER until the
UTILITIES menu appears on the display. On the UTILITIES menu, press
MODIFY PROGRAM until the arrow points to DIAGNOSTICS, then press
START.
1. Select the valves test by using MODIFY PROGRAM and START.
2. Open all six valves by pressing:
HIDDEN KEY#2
SHAKER
HIDDEN KEY#3
PUMP SPEED UP
PUMP START/STOP
PUMP SPEED DOWN

Test valve 1 (red)
1. Install a length 0.170” tubing through the open pinch valve 1(red) and
attach one end to a sphygmomanometer or digital pressure meter.
2. Verify that valve 1 opens and its LED is lit.
3. Press PUMP UP ARROW and the valve closes.
4. Verify that valve 1 closes and its LED is not lit.
5. Pressurize the sphygmomanometer, or digital pressure meter, to
200 mmHg and verify that there is not a leak as evidenced by a decrease
in pressure. Press PUMP UP ARROW and remove the tubing.
