GPS antenna offset is the distance measured from a vessel axis to the center of the GPS antenna. Each vessel
has three axes (X, Y, and Z), so there are three antenna offsets (GPS antenna offset X, GPS antenna offset Y,
and GPS antenna offset Z). All three vessel axes pass through the vessel origin. Therefore, to define the vessel
axes and antenna offsets, you much first locate the vessel origin. The following figure shows how to locate
the vessel origin.
VO Vessel origin.
WP Waterplane.
LWL Vessel length at waterline.
0.5 LWL Half of vessel length at waterline.
0.5 B Half of vessel beam.

When the vessel origin is located, you can define the vessel axes and measure the antenna offsets, as shown
in the following figure.
