VO Vessel origin.
GPS GPS antenna.

Waterplane.
X X axis. An imaginary axis line that runs horizontally along the vessel from bow to stern,
passing through the vessel origin.
Y Y Axis. An imaginary axis line that runs horizontally across the vessel from port to starboard,
passing through the vessel origin.
Z Z axis. An imaginary axis line that runs vertically through the vessel from top to bottom,
passing through the vessel origin.
X-
X+
Negative X. Aft of the vessel origin is negative X.
Positive X. Forward of the vessel origin is positive X.
Y-
Y+
Negative Y. Port of the vessel origin is negative Y.
Positive Y. Starboard of the vessel origin is positive Y.
Z-
Z+
Negative Z. Above the vessel origin is negative Z.
Positive Z. Below the vessel origin is positive Z.
XO X offset. The distance in millimeters from the Y axis to the centre of the GPS antenna.
X offset is negative if the antenna is aft of the vessel origin and positive if the antenna is
forward of the vessel origin.
YO Y offset. The distance in millimeters from the X axis to the centre of the GPS antenna.
Y offset is negative if the antenna is port of the vessel origin and positive if the antenna is
starboard of the vessel origin.
ZO Z offset. The distance in millimeters from the waterplane to the centre of the GPS antenna.
The GPS antenna must always be installed above the waterplane, and the Z offset is always
negative.
