5.3.2. Microphone cable (use a shielded 2-wire cable)
5.3.2.1. Preparing the microphone cable
When preparing the microphone cable, it is essential to take into account the continuity of the shielding.
Check the impedance of the microphone (< 50 Ohms using a multimeter and around 300 Ohms using an audio
analyser).
It is essential that the microphone cable is protected against electromagnetic interference and that
it is routed in a different cable rack from the power cables (especially the motor cable rack).
The length of cable required is determined by the distance between the microphone and the unit and the
path it takes (maximum 200 m).
The cable must be protected by a sheath all the way to the microphone connector.
5.3.2.2. Connecting the microphone cable on the microphone end
The part number of the connector (comprised of 6 components) is DELTRON 592-0301.
