6. USE – OPERATION
6.1. INTRODUCTION
Your machine has been selected and its size determined by HASLER Group based on the process information
you have provided, and in particular, the characteristics of the product to be processed and the expected
performance in terms of results.
A contract of sale has been concluded between our two companies governing how you intend to use it. If you
use the machine for any other purpose without prior agreement from HASLER Group, we cannot be held
responsible for any hazards incurred by your staff, for any damage caused to the equipment or for failure to
comply with the performance targets.
6.2. SATISFACTORY CONDITIONS OF USE
Workstations Personal protective devices
In principle there is no permanent designated workstation for the operation of HASLER Group machines.
However, depending on the circumstances and the types of work on said machines, and depending on the
risks and the legislation in effect, the customer is required to oblige their personnel to wear the most
appropriate protective devices against the risks. This consideration especially applies to protection against
the risks generated by the airborne noise level of machinery.
Therefore, HASLER Group recommends wearing hearing protection when working near the machine in
operation.
Airborne noise emitted by the machine
The equipment does not emit any noise.
Electrical safety
The customer must provide all the safety devices and their cabling to protect workers against electrical and
mechanical risks. In particular, it is necessary to provide an emergency stop button close to rotating
machinery and to explicitly indicate that remote automatic start-up is possible.
Prolonged shutdown
No special instructions in the event of prolonged shutdown of the equipment.
Material
The construction materials are selected according to the operating conditions stipulated in the contract.
“Special” materials (stainless steel, etc.) are used for the parts in contact with the product; these correspond
to normal operation of the equipment in accordance with best practices.
6.3. CONTRAINDICATIONS CONCERNING THE USE OF THE MACHINE
It is recommended that the machine is not operated outside the defined limits. The following list, which is
not exhaustive, indicates the main operating contraindications and the expected consequences that we have
learned from experience.
6.3.1. Production-related risks
Do not handle the microphone and the unit when the mill is in operation: risk of entanglement.
6.3.2. Risks associated with the mechanical integrity of the machine
Take care not to position the microphone too close to the mill: risk of entanglement or damage to the
microphone.
6.3.3. Risks related to personal safety
Do not open the unit, touch the circuit boards or disconnect the cables when the equipment is in
operation.
