4. TRANSPORT-HANDLING-STORAGE-INSTALLATION
PREREQUISITES
4.1. TRANSPORT
The transport conditions are specified in the sales contract.
During transport, care must be taken to ensure the safety of people and the protection of the equipment
(against impacts, bad weather, etc.).
When the equipment is received, it must be inspected.
Any missing parts or damage caused during transport must be reported immediately in writing to
HASLER Group and reservations must be noted on the transport company’s delivery note.
Check that tools have been delivered when they are required.
4.2. HANDLING
The equipment must be unloaded and taken to the installation site or, if necessary, to an intermediate storage
site.
Any load in excess of 20 kg must not be lifted or carried by one person alone. For two people, the
load must not exceed 45 kg.
4.3. STORAGE
For long-term storage, check that the equipment is clean and that there are no traces of moisture.
The storage area must be dry, dust-free, ventilated and protected from atmospheric variations. See section
2.5.1 page 18 for the storage temperatures.
4.4. INSTALLATION PREREQUISITES
The microphone must be installed close to the mill, in order to get the best signal reception and to reduce
the influence of any other mills, when they are all installed in the same room. Therefore, sufficient space
must be provided around the mill to install the microphone and allow staff to operate it in complete safety.
The power supply cable (which the customer is responsible for supplying) must be fitted with a
protective earth conductor and connected to earth.
4.5. CHECKS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE MACHINE
Keep the original packaging in case of future need to store/handle/re-ship the equipment.
Open the packaging containing the equipment and remove the various components of the SOUND2.
Check that the equipment is complete, undamaged and shows no signs of moisture.
4.6. CHECKING THAT THE POWER SOCKET AND POWER CABLE ARE EARTHED
The customer’s electrical installation to which SOUND2 is connected must be earthed. The power
cable (not included in the HASLER Group supply scope) must have 2 wires (phase and neutral) and
an earth wire.
1. Using a multimeter (or voltmeter), in alternating sinusoidal mode, connect the two terminals of the two
poles of the power socket/power supply.
