8.4. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
8.4.1. Visual inspection

Procedure
1. Check that the equipment is clean, especially the microphone. Clean if necessary (see section 8.4.2 page
46
).
2. Check that the power cables and microphone are in good condition. Replace them if necessary (see section
5.3 page 27).
3. Check that all the connections are securely tightened. Tighten them if necessary.
4. Check that the microphone is correctly positioned. Adjust it if necessary (see section
5.2.2 page 26).
5. Check that the unit is securely mounted on the support.
6. Check that the SOUND2 is operating correctly on the screen.
8.4.2. Cleaning

Prerequisites/Preliminary operations
Do not handle the microphone and the unit when the mill is in operation: risk of entanglement.
Stop the mill.
Procedure
1. Remove any dust and dirt from the microphone.
Do not use damp cloths to avoid clogging the outer foam.
2. Remove any dust and dirt from the unit.
3. Clean the power and microphone cables.
